During this engaging professional development seminar, participants will learn the techniques and strategies described below.
Each seminar focuses on best practices and exemplary teaching activities that promote student collaboration and interaction, accelerate the learning process, and improve student outcomes.
Objectives
- Select, create, and utilize formative assessment questions for group instruction.
- Produce and employ multi-sensory presentations to maximize student engagement during instruction.
- Collect and analyze formative and summative assessment reporting data to differentiate instruction.
- Create collaborative review activities in preparation for summative assessments.
- Develop electronic grading of multiple versions of assessments to help accelerate the learning cycle.
- Collaborate with peers to use formative and summative assessment data to improve instruction in professional learning communities and individual teaching.
Participants will also become skilled in how to use eInstruction's collaborative classroom suite in conjunction with existing curriculum resources to supplement the above strategies. Each participant will receive his/her own classroom suite which consists of ExamView® Learning Series and ExamView® Assessment Suite, a set of student response pads, and the industry-leading Interwrite Mobi™ handheld interactive whiteboard.
